Katrina
Hurricane Katrina
This is 3 and a half months after the Hurricane, nobody has returned or started to rebuild in this entire neighborhood, it is still probably condemned.
3 and half months after the Hurricane, we saw boats that were still in the road, a truck stil hanging on the fence, this was a typical scene.
The 9th Ward. That is someone elses roof in the front their house.
Another picture from the 9th Ward. We were back looking around, and as far as the eye could see was nothing but houses that were demolished. This area will probably not be rebuildable (is that a word?) it was completely flooded and an oil tanker spilled and the area is contaminated. We were able to get by FEMA and National Guard to get back here, they are still recovering bodies from this area.
